Herbology 101 is too short and too simple. Ed uses 15% of the book trying to define just what an herb is. His own definition falls short of the sources he quotes, and then dismisses. He considers an herb to be a plant with medical value and informs the reader he is not qualified to give medical advice. Even so he wants us "to jump into this fascinating hobby with both feet" (27%). But have no fear there is no medical advise here.
At 40% into the book he shares some herb insight informing his readers we can grow sage and use it to flavor chicken and turkey. Dill can be used to flavor fish and in pickle recipes! He also gives lavender, parsley, and basil the same inadequate overview.
At 66% he moves into herb vinegars, which can be used in the kitchen and bath. This second part of the book is a bit improved over the first half. But the information here is also overly simple.
Rather than spending two bucks for a tease that will not deliver the info you really wanted when you signed up for the course, try a few herb websites and get the info you need to enter the world of "Herbology 101."

Herbology 101 A short Course in Growing and Using Herbs edition by Ed Back Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
Think is not much on knowledge about herbs. But has some good ideas in it. Something I would not mind trying
This was so fun to read. Very refreshing writing and I felt like the author was right there talking to me. I enjoyed the book. tremendously.
Just enough information to get started growing and using herbs. I would have given it five stars if it had given me the. info on herb vinegars in a recipe format. Other than that--great!
I was expecting a little more but it is only 101. Gave some good tips. Informative about the poisonous herbs.
Really not worth the time I wasted in reading this. This is not even something I would recommend for a beginner.
